- Ricky: Just to get a flavour of who you are.
- Steve: Yeah, so firstly, name, obviously Karl Pilkington. Age, Karl?
- Karl: I'll be, uh...I'll be 30 next month.
- Ricky: Really?
- Karl: This month. No next- What? Where are we?
- Ricky and Steve: [manic laughter]
- Steve: I don't think we need to ask any more questions!
- Ricky: I think we've done it. I think we've done it there!
- Steve: That's it! Welcome to the world of Karl Pilkington!

I was thinking recently about what advice I’d give to a newly out-of-the-closet gay person, and these points are basically it.
And if I can add a piece of advice that applies to everyone, everywhere, regardless of sexuality or whatever: be respectful of others, and expect respect from others. If you are not getting that, move on until you find it. Life is too short to let other people make you feel small, or to make other people feel small.
